Hi all,
This one was done for a CD cover, well not originally this one as the title say this is version 2, version one is what the band preferred, if you want to see the other version as well you can have a look on my homepage.
However, this is the very first piece I created entirely 3d, well not really as you can see there is a lot of postwork as well but that’s just some Photoshop texture layers and effects and stuff like that to make it look more interesting. But I did not a single brushstroke on this, everything apart from the skeleton which is Poser was created in Zbrush even Mr. Death’s cowl down to the tiniest gear wheel is Zbrush.
You see I talk a lot about this piece but I’m so happy with Zbrush as it really made 3d working for me. I’m sure there will be more pieces using 3d in future, it was such a lot of fun. Don’t panic I sure don’t quit doing my 2d stuff :-)).

Ok you see I really had a lot of fun with this piece, now I really would love to know what you think…

You are a master artist! Why your name isn't known everywhere I'll never know!

You make your pictures jump out and say look at me!.

The lighting and detail always makes me drool. I know I keep saying it...but one day I will buy from you! :D

Amazing as usual.
The level of detail is excessively good as it is the first time you try to work in 3d.
Gooooooooood Work!!

That's really cool that you didn't paint a stroke in this. I wouldn't have said, "that's all 3D" by just looking at it. Any chance we could have some detail shots?

Well I’m usually known as a 2d artist that’s why I’m so proud that I didn’t really paint on it. BUT as we all can see there are lots of Photoshop filters and textures used on this piece, so sure there is done a lot of postwork, I just didn’t really paint on the piece. The whole thing was compose from two Zbrush renders, one was the background and one the foreground. If you or some others are interested I can post the original Zbrush renders I did for this piece – just let me know.
