Somewhere in an unreal land far away theres a mysterious place where youll be able to summon the mighty seeserpent. Now its up to you to find the place, haha. Well its a free piece I did during some jobs I still need to finish but I needed a change. As it seems to become more and more important to the audience to talk about the process of creating a piece than to just enjoy the result, here we go. This is another one I didnt paint from scratch, instead of sketching I used some 3d apps. So its more a matte painting than a painting and its not really a 2d painting. I used Zbrush to create the basic form of the strange rock formations, took it into Vue and where I build and rendered the complete landscape, after that I took it into Photoshop and changed the color the way I wanted it, than took the whole thing into Painter and painted over the whole piece to give it kind of a ainted look and applied the figures and switched from Painter to Photoshop forth and back top paint in more and more detail till it looked finished to me . Hope you like anyway, thanks for looking
As it was more 2d work I post it in the 2d section as there is no mixed medium section, but as said the piece include a lot of 3d as well, so if it doesnt fit in 2d let me know.
Einfach ganz klasse image Uwe. Top notch till to the last pixel !!!

Awww, thanks so much! Honestly it wasn't to complicated to do this piece, the 3d render helped a lot to speed up the process, all in all two evenings and that's what I've got

The idea of this contest is to set you up completely blind with a mythical being - from any world culture - and turn you loose to come up with a deviation based around it!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Lifehacker takes a look at the 5 Best online image editors. For those of you that don't use Photoshop, I highly suggest taking a look at this, as these apps allow you to edit your images in a browser window, and some are VERY powerful!
In this article you will find many thumbnails of the sun in different forms, all photography featured here by the club feature-me. Please show your support for these artists and their work and the article so that more people can see their work.

I flirt with fine art. She tells me that she's not that kind of girl, and I tell her that's because she needs one more drink.
