I found that the difference between painter and photoshop for me was to put more emphasis on textures in Photoshop while in Painter I could put more attention into my shapes.

But think you sure can use Photoshop more often, as I really like the clear skull and the amazing "Sense"
I think you tried to paint his "dress" like you would do in painter - just be brave, Uwe, try also for his dress photoshop-brushes like for the skull.
I like this a lot!!!
