This image was done for ImagineFX to celebrate Frazettas 80th birtday.
I decided to paint a classical fantasy art piece like the ones we are used to see from Mr. Frazetta, I just did it in my style as I just didnt dare to copy the masters style. A strong hero with some massive axes in his hands, in the background I used some elements Frazetta already used in his art like the birds. I painted a Portrait of Mr. Frazetta in the background to honor him and to show that he is the one who made this picture possible cause without him I probably wouldnt paint anything today. I just hope I got a little likeness with the Portrait of Frazetta in the background as I just had a very small picture (taken in the 80s right after his come back from his website as reference. Hope you like the picture was a pleasure to paint it.
This piece is just amazing! and well done with the portrait I'm sure he would appreciate it. Dont worry about the likeness either, looks very realistic to me
