Yes it is Kay's work you see in my avatar! I'm very pleased someone noticed. She is one of m favorite's too, you included.
She has done two commissions for me of my character Xull'rae. First one is here: [link]
The second is here: [link]
She is currently working on another commission for me of another char of mine and my man's other char, which I hope you will one day do as well. Xull'rae is lovely and popular but my other char was my first and my favorite. So I'm nervous and excited that Kay took the project.
I sure saw Kay’s work in your Avatar as I am really huge fan of her art, she do the most awesome character portraits ever, no wonder you are a fan of her as well, but me included??? Wow, I feel honored, thanks .
Yes I know both works you linked here, really fun to meet one of Kays clients here, the world is such a small place .
Can’t wait with what she comes up for your and your man’s other character, you can be sure you get the best what you can get as Kay is really brilliant.
Oh, doing a character for you one day sure would be too cool, but I fear I can’t compare with Kay’s excellent work, what does not mean I would not love to do one some day .
So thanks for visiting my gallery and for your nice and encouraging words, really much appreciated. Have a wonderful time and it would be my pleasure to hear from you again one day J
Ummmm, to be honest I never ever did private commissions of that kind, the only private commissions I did so far have been some oil paintings or watercolors to hang on the wall for several people. I usually just work for game companies, book – or video publishers, so I have no clue what to charge for a character portrait in a private commission, and I definitely don’t want to charge more than Kay, so I fear I would need your help and insight there .
Oh, but I don’t think it is a good idea to talk about money in an open forum, so you can e-mail me when ever you want for more . Here’s my e-mail address – email@example.com -
Oh, do you think? One of my best? Glad you think so. Well not my one of my favourite as I'm not that much into sci-fi stuff I like things including dragons and such a little more, but it was definitly much fun to do something like that for a change.
I'm really into the one on the right, he's freakish as all get out! All the wires that look like loose veins and arteries, the spine... ugh, so creeptacular! And that back ground... somewhere between a 1930's horror movie and a Giger painting... weird.
